Beverage Delivery Applications

Restaurant and bar owners, convenience store and other foodservice operators know without a doubt where one their highest profit centers is.

It is, of course, in their beverage offering and their ability to produce and dispense drinks at a consistent, efficient rate even during periods of peak demand. Operators depend on the entire beverage delivery system to function reliably and cost-effectively to produce high quality drinks that keep  their customers happy and coming back, while contributing to a profitable bottom line.

Shurflo® brand pumps and fluid management solutions have been synonymous with innovation and quality in beverage delivery applications since 1968. Pentair Shurflo has been a recognized global leader in producing pumps and related components for Beverage as well as Foodservice, Recreational Vehicle, Marine and General Industrial markets for over 45 years.

Whether your needs center around BIB, Brix, or electric delivery and transfer pumps, water filtration, water boost, water line management systems, or other beverage-related application needs, Pentair Shurflo can design a solution that meets your specific requirements.

Water Line Management Applications

Expanding operator beverage menus mean more equipment than ever is being used in foodservice  operations today. New equipment and an increasing number of beverage lines creates challenges for service dealers in that both also mean more water lines to manage, and additional time required to identifying and trace those lines during service.

In restaurants these days, it is not uncommon to find:

New beverage lines tangled with old lines.
Poor or no identification of lines.
No shut-off valves on lines.
Hard-plumbed lines with little or no flexibility.

This can lead to:

Time needlessly spent trying to identify lines and trace them back to the equipment.
More time spent on a project than required or desired, leading to increased cost if it can’t be billed back to the operator.

Pentair makes water line management easier for you with its Everpure® SimpliFlow® System.

Cleans up unsightly mess of tangled water lines, organizing both front-and back-of-house operations for improved appearance and maintenance efficiency.
Offers quick line shut-off in case of unexpected equipment or line leaks.
Reduces mistakes and spend less time spent identifying and tracing lines, plus easily shut lines off for servicing.
Efficient water line serviceability reduces total equipment downtime during servicing.
Easily modify system to meet changing plumbing requirements.
Flexible and expansion-capable; easily add new beverage equipment in the future using your existing system.
Minimal footprint and a variety of configurations available to meet your specific needs.

Water Pressure Management

As foodservice establishments expand their beverage offerings, the increased water usage can adversely impact operational performance. This, coupled with fluctuating city water flow and pressure, can lead to inconsistent drink quality, poor beverage dispenser performance and premature exhaustion of water filter cartridges.

Pentair Shurflo offers a wide range of water pressure management systems. Our Water Boost Systems elevates the pressure up to 90 psi and stores the water under pressure in an accumulator tank. This ensures that there is enough pressurized water for all beverage system components during peak operating hours when the water pressure in the restaurant is likely to fluctuate. Our pump and accumulator tank systems maintain adequate, consistent water pressure to one or more dispensing valves, and are NSF, UL and CSA listed.

Water Pressure Reducing Valves (WPRV) are devices that are set to specific psi levels, with pressure ranges from 30 to 80 psi. The WPRV should be installed as close as possible to the inlet of the carbonator pump and dispenser.

Water filtration systems have minimum water pressure requirements. Keep in mind that if water pressure is too low, filters will plug prematurely because particulates collect only on the surface of the carbon and will essentially “cake” itself, instead of penetrating deep into the cartridge. It’s important to always put a carbon water filtration system after the water boost to help keep:

• High water pressure flowing to the filter system, which extends the life of the cartridges.
• Chlorine in the bladder of the water boost to prevent growth of algae and bacteria.

Add a Pentair Shurflo Water Pressure Management System to boost your beverage equipment’s performance and optimize your ability to serve consistent, high quality beverages. Our water pressure management solutions are proven, reliable performers even in the most challenging foodservice environment, and are available in a wide range of configurations to fit multiple applications.

General Beverage Application Solutions

The quality of your beverage service impacts customer satisfaction.

Your customer’s first and last impression of your operation is often the beverage you serve them. If the drinks you serve don't taste as they should – are warm, improperly carbonated, or don’t have the right syrup-to-water ratio, for example – it will be noticed.

And effective beverage delivery impacts your profits.

If you’re using too much syrup versus water, it’s costing you money. If your equipment is down or being serviced during period of peak beverage demand, you’re losing revenue.

Pentair Shurflo is an acknowledged leader in fluid handling and delivery systems. If you do not find what you were looking for in related application-specific sections of our site, you are likely to find it here.
